The hair turned out so much better than I thought it would! Still not as dark as it is in the ref pic, but oh well, you get the idea. Also, I didn't not do the stripes in the shirt and on the headband because I.. just didn't want to.

I edited the scan of the drawing a bit in photoshop because my scanner put some lines on it (view WIPs to see what I mean). My scanner is also the reason that the edges of the scan (most noticeably in the stray strands of hair on the right side) are very blurry. And for some reason, the detail in the shirt (the shading) doesn't show in this scan (view WIP 4 to see it better). Needless to say, this drawing looks a whole lot better in person.
